Aqua Aerobics is a specialised class held at the Chermside Pool in Hamilton Road. Water aerobics provides a cardiovascular and a light resistance workout and is a recommended exercise not just for seniors but is beneficial to all ages. Fit ball Fitness Class is a unique exercise class that utilizes a fit ball to not only improve aerobic fitness and strength, but specifically challenge core & pelvic floor strength, stability and balance! The class requires a moderate level of fitness.
Fitness Class combines a cardiovascular workout with some balance and strengthening exercises. The is held every Tuesday morning from 8.30am – 9.30am. These aerobic exercise classes are conducted by qualified instructors. Participants are asked to complete a Pre-Exercise Screening Questionnaire prior to commencing exercise classes and encouraged to work at their own pace.
Functional Fitness Class is a specialized fitness class aimed to improve everyday functionality and health including muscular strength and endurance, aerobic fitness, flexibility, balance and co-ordination.
Pilates & Yoga Classes provide an opportunity for participants to improve their flexibility, motion and posture. Pilates classes are held Mondays and Fridays and Yoga classes are weekly on Thursday afternoons.
Tai Chi is a soothing mind and body discipline. Join this relaxation on Fridays at 2.00pm.
Heart Foundation Registered Walking Group leaves from outside entrance to Kedron Wavell RSL, Chermside and walks Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 4pm (until early October). All welcome to join.
Classes are held each Monday and Wednesday mornings. The class is designed for over 50’s and is conducted by a qualified Zumba instructor.
