Bequests
A bequest is a gift made through your Will, and can be made in the form of specific dollar amounts, property, a percentage of your estate, or all or a portion of what remains after you have provided for your family.
Burnie Brae and Bequests
Any bequest received by Burnie Brae will be used for the ongoing work of the Centre, allowing us to provide programs, activities and services for Seniors and people with disabilities. Financial support enables us to extend and continue the work of the Centre helping those who need it most.
To continue to support Burnie Brae after your lifetime, your Will must use the following wording:
I GIVE the sum of $ …………….to The CHERMSIDE AND DISTRICT SENIOR CITIZEN CENTRE INCORPORATED (“the Association”) for any one or more of the objects of the Association and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer of the said Association shall be a full and complete discharge to my Trustee. My Trustee will not be bound to see to the application of this bequest.
