The Burnie Brae Centre is a Not-for-Profit Incorporated Organisation. It operates a large senior citizens centre offering a wide range of social, educational and recreational activities and community services for “fitter” seniors, frail aged persons and younger people with disabilities.
The Centre is open from 8.00 - 5.00 Monday to Friday and at other times for activities and functions. It offers membership to those over the age of 50 years at a fee of $5.00 per year.

Centre History
The centre is named after Burnie Brae the name of the original homestead built on the site by Andrew Hamilton, one of the original pioneers of the Chermside area.
