Volunteers
Volunteers are committed people who give their energy and time to the needs of others. There are many volunteering opportunities at Burnie Brae for as little or as much time as you have to give. All help is greatly appreciated. Available volunteer positions
- Administrative assistance – general administration duties such as phone answering, money handling and photocopying
- General handyman – assisting in odd jobs and small tasks around the Centre.
- Activity/craft instructor – offer your talents and skills to assist with seniors activities or Day Respite clients
- Kitchen Assistance – general help with meal/morning tea preparation
- Catering Hostess – assist with catering for functions in the centre
- Publicity Assistant – promoting centre events/functions
- Gardener – assisting in light gardening jobs
- Community Visitor – assist with CHATS Program – tasks such as visiting isolated members of the community, shopping assistance, escort to doctors appoints
- Driver & driver assistants – assistance with transport to Centre activities, shopping or medical appointments
- Day Care Program assistant – assisting clients with centre activities and general kitchen duties
