Our transport service is aimed at assisting eligible members of the community who may have difficulty accessing public transport or are struggling to get to local appointments or manage their shopping.

Burnie Brae has a wide array of activities and social functions, and we might be able to help you attend these.

We also have a Group Shopping service to the following Shopping Centres:

• Stafford City
• Chermside Markets
• Westfield Shoppingtown Chermside
• Taigum Centro Shopping Centre

These are both practical and social outings that are supported by a driver who will help you carry your groceries if you require this level of assistance.

Eligibility

The service is open to people who have mobility difficulties and/or are unable to access public transport and/or have financial difficulties. Because of this eligibility criteria, we are not able to assist every individual, however we will do our best to provide you with alternative options if we are unable to provide you with a service ourselves.

Cost

$2 each way for trips to & from Burnie Brae or to & from any local appointments $5 per person for a round trip to and from shopping centres and assistance with groceries. Negotiated fees may apply for other services.
