Transport Driver

We are seeking compassionate, open minded and flexible people to join our team at Burnie Brae. As a Transport Driver, you will be involved in assisting the elderly and young people with a disability to remain living independently in their own homes, while maintaining a positive quality of life. The service provides flexible transport and social support options for people to access the community. If you genuinely want to make a difference in your next role, and have a non-judgemental attitude towards working with diverse people and communities, then this might be the role for you!

As a Transport Driver, you will be picking up clients from their home and transporting them to shopping centres, medical appointments, and social activities across the North Brisbane area.

In addition to the attributes mentioned above, to be considered for this role you will need:

  • Minimum C Class Drivers licence, MR/HR preferred
  • Drivers Authority, or the ability to obtain
  • High level communication skills
  • Demonstrated, effective problem solving skills
  • A sound knowledge of Brisbane North and surrounding areas
  • Administration skills with attention to detail and accurate data and record keeping
  • The ability to obtain and provide a National Criminal History Check
  • An empathetic, friendly and helpful demeanour
  • Experience working with seniors and/or people with a disability will be highly regarded

Customer Service Assistant

We are seeking compassionate, open minded and flexible people to join our team at Burnie Brae. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be involved in assisting the elderly and young people with a disability to remain living independently in their own homes, while maintaining a positive quality of life. You will be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries, providing customers with seamless access to current information about Burnie Brae and our suite of community services. If you genuinely want to make a difference in your next role, and have a non-judgemental attitude towards working with diverse people and communities, then this might be the role for you!

As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be answering incoming calls from our customers and members, working in a fast paced environment whilst ensuring all data and records are maintained accurately. Our service areas include:

  • Transport, Homecare, Home Maintenance, Day Respite, Members activities and more

In addition to the attributes mentioned above, to be considered for this role you will need:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Customer Contact or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in a Call Centre or customer service industry.
  • High level communication skills
  • Demonstrated, effective problem solving skills

  • Administration skills with exceptional attention to detail and accurate data and record keeping
  • The ability to obtain and provide a National Criminal History Check
