Leisure Activities

Art Classes are conducted by our qualified art teacher Peta. The class provides weekly instruction on technique in a fun and social group.  Beginners and advanced art students well as the class allows participants to develop skill at their own pace.

Craft workshops  Weekly instruction by a qualified craft teacher covering a range of interesting craft activities.  Each attendee will produce items to take home.

Book Club  Share your love of reading with monthly discussions about particular books in a social setting.  Group meets in the Respite Centre.

Clogging is a percussive dance form that originated in the Appalachian Mountains and has similarities to Irish and Tap dancing. It utilises a wide variety of musical genres including, country, bluegrass, pop, hip hop and even latin.

Classes are conducted by Nathan Ballard and Amanda Lim and are suitable for all levels. Each class starts with 30 minutes of FUNdamentals to prepare any first timers/beginners for Basic class.

Join us for a 30 minute stretch in Burnie Brae Park at Chermside. A Healthy Connections Exercise Physiologist will take you through a series of upper and lower standing stretches. What a great way to start your day!
