Immerse yourself in the rich history of the people's house on our popular tour! Government House, also known as Fernberg (German for distant mountain), was one of the first houses built in Brisbane’s Paddington area and since 1910, has been the home and workplace of Queensland Governors.

During this tour, you will go behind the scenes at the treasured Government House and explore rooms like the Drawing Room, State Dining Room, Fernberg Library, and Investiture Room. Learn about the history of the House and the constitutional, ceremonial, and community roles of the Governor whilst enjoying a light morning tea.

The bus departs and returns to Kedron Wavell Services Club (21 Kittyhawk Dr, Chermside). The club is located close to Burnie Brae Centre and provides free parking. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time and note that day tour return times are approximate only. Your contact details will be kept with the bus driver in case of an emergency.

Tickets are refundable if the event is cancelled. The trip is subject to reaching minimum ticket sale requirements and health directives.

Participants must be independently mobile, as support staff will not be present on these tours. Support trips are available through Burnie Brae Club Respite.
