Seniors & Mental Health

Location:
Burnie Brae Centre | 60 Kuran Street, Chermside

This session will focus on art therapy as a dynamic tool to support individuals to explore their unique creative expression, foster their artistic identity, and use art as a way to improve their mental wellbeing.

You’ll be working with various forms of media to inspire you and will dabble with mindful art practices that leave you feeling positively uplifted and connected. Let yourself experience the joy of creative expression. The focus throughout is on the process and beneficial impact of creativity rather than the outputs. No artistic skills are required.

Katherine Winlaw is a registered art therapist with a private practice in Brisbane. She currently divides her time in the public service and tutors at the University of Queensland Masters of Mental Health Art Therapy program.
