Join us for a morning of words, language and linguistics. Roland (Roly) Sussex will talk about the origin of a word and the historical development of its meaning.

Roly is a specialist in language, communication and culture, and health communication. He wrote a weekly column on language for the Brisbane Courier-Mail from 2006 to 2021. Roly’s talkback radio program A Word in Your Ear has been broadcast every week to Queensland on ABC radio since 1997. He was also awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2012.
