VOLUNTEERING

“Volunteering at Burnie Brae is like being a member of a friendly village, everyone contributes and everyone benefits in some way. I find it stimulating socially, mentally and physically, always challenging, and highly satisfying.” – Anne Gore

Our volunteers play a vital role in shaping the face of Burnie Brae. Without the valued support of our group of volunteers, we would not be able to operate as effectively as we currently do. We have over 250 volunteers working in various areas of the organisation including: transport, Respite, Café Connect, Project Pantry, the community garden, the community nursery, activity leaders, maintenance and the concierge role at main reception.

There are many benefits in becoming a Burnie Brae volunteer.  It is a great opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life, develop skills and have the opportunity for training, as well as meeting new people and making friends.

We offer a diverse range of volunteer positions which may become vacant at the Centre periodically.  If there is a position you are interested in, please complete the Volunteer Expressions of Interest Form and deliver the completed form to Burnie Brae Reception or scan and email to volunteering@burniebrae.org.au.
