About Burnie Brae
Founded in 1984 with support from the Rotary Club, Burnie Brae takes its name from the original homestead that once stood on our Chermside site.
What began as a small community centre offering social activities for older adults has grown into a trusted not-for-profit organisation, supporting healthy, independent ageing across North Brisbane and Moreton Bay.

To empower and connect older adults to live their best lives by providing holistic, accessible health, lifestyle and wellness services that evolve with the needs of our community.
Burnie Brae acknowledges the traditional custodians on whose lands we walk, work and live, including those of the Turrbul and Jagera nations, and pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within our community.
