We provide a range of care services tailored to your needs, with the level of services depending on your funding levels.

Daily tasks

Cleaning & Household Tasks

Assistance with housework tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, as well as garden and home maintenance and repairs to ensure your home remains safe and accessible.

Personal care

Personal Care

Support with personal care tasks, including bathing, showering and toileting. We also help with dressing, getting in and out of bed, washing, hair drying, grooming and medication reminders.

Social support

Socialising & Companionship

Meaningful companionship through flexible in-home respite with a carer for one-on-one support, as well as access to our centre-based day respite for activities and outings.

Transport

Transport & Outings

Local, personalised and accessible car, van and bus transport for community outings, shopping, appointments and social gatherings, providing door-to-door service and baggage assistance.

Health wellness

Allied Health & Wellbeing

Clinical care provided by qualified professionals including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology and Massage Therapy, as well as by medication management and basic wound care by Burnie Brae's Registered Nurses.

What funding is available?

At Burnie Brae, we provide a range of in-home and community-based support services through various government-funded programs designed to meet different needs. Here’s an overview of the funding options available:

Home Assist Secure (HAS)
Essential support for individuals who face difficulties managing critical home maintenance tasks independently. This includes repairs, modifications or safety enhancements aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the home.

Eligibility: aged 60 years or over, or of any age with a disability, and hold a Pensioner Concession Card. You must also be unable to complete necessary home maintenance tasks through alternative assistance programs, such as the Commonwealth Home Support Program or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.


Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
Tailored support for those who need ongoing low-level assistance to maintain their independence or short-term help following an injury or illness. It's also available for individuals waiting to transition into a Home Care Package. This program offers a wide range of services, including assistance with daily tasks like cleaning, meal preparation and transportation.

Eligibility: individuals 65 years or older (or 50+ for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander individuals)

Home Care Packages (HCP)
Comprehensive support for those who need a higher level of care to continue living at home. Offering a wide array of services from personal care and medical assistance to domestic support and social activities. Learn more about Burnie Brae Home Care Packages.
