Anne Copeland

Anne retired practising as a Registered Nurse in 2016 and joined the Board of Burnie Brae in 2017. She has qualifications and experience in nursing, business administration and company directorship as well as art and pastoral care.

Anne has dedicated her life to the field of nursing. She started her journey by completing nursing training as registered nurse, midwife and a child health nurse, and went on to hold various management and leadership roles in public and private acute hospitals, as well as in aged care.

She has served on many Boards including as Chair of the Queensland Nursing Council from 2005 – 2010 and Chair of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia from 2009 – 2013.

Aside from her impressive professional achievements, Anne is an active member of the community and has been a member of Burnie Brae since 2017. She takes great pleasure in contributing to an organisation that’s committed to providing community work.

Anne is also a talented artist who loves painting and pottery, and teaches watercolour art classes. On the weekend you’ll often find her as the pillion passenger on her partner’s motorbike.
