Tour the historic Victoria Barracks and learn about our military history.

The Army Museum collects, conserves and interprets military history from Colonial times to current campaigns. The Museum is located in the oldest existing military barracks in Queensland dating from 1864. Victoria Barracks is a heritage-listed site containing many reminders of early life in the colony and classic examples of 19th-century barracks architecture.

Included in the tour is an exhibition viewing, historic presentation and silver service Devonshire Tea in the 1864 Officers’ Mess.

An intermediate fitness is required. There may be some steps and uneven ground.

The bus departs and returns to Kedron Wavell Services Club (21 Kittyhawk Dr, Chermside). The club is located close to Burnie Brae Centre and provides free parking. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time and note that day tour return times are approximate only. Your contact details will be kept with the bus driver in case of an emergency.

Tickets are refundable if the event is cancelled. The trip is subject to reaching minimum ticket sale requirements and health directives.

Participants must be independently mobile, as support staff will not be present on these tours. Support trips are available through Burnie Brae Club Respite.
