At Healthy Connections, our specialised Pump It for Parkinson’s Program, led by our qualified Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists supports you to stay independent, confident and engaged in everyday life.
Our program combines education and guided exercise to help you manage your condition through safe, effective movement and positive lifestyle changes.
If you are newly diagnosed or have been living with Parkinson’s for some time, we can help you build confidence and develop lasting habits to support your health and quality of life.
Our program is designed to support your long-term wellbeing through personalised care and expert guidance.
Schedule: Thursdays, 2:00pm
Group Size: Max 4 Participants
Program Cost: $40 per session for private-paying clients (funding & rebates available, see below)
Getting Started:
New clients are required to complete an initial Exercise Physiology assessment ($125), which includes your assessment and orientation session before joining the group.

You may be eligible for support through:
*We accept aged care funding through Burnie Brae or other aged care providers (known as brokered services).
You don’t need a referral to join the program as a private-paying client.
However, if you’d like to access funding or rebates through Medicare, DVA, NDIS, or My Aged Care, a referral or approval from your GP or provider may be required. Our team is happy to guide you through the process and help you get started.
All new clients complete an initial assessment with our team, where we’ll get to know you, understand your goals and determine whether the program is the right fit for your needs.
Bring a water bottle and towel, and wear comfortable clothing with supportive, enclosed footwear suitable for exercise.
Yes. Our team will tailor all exercises to suit your individual ability, ensuring a safe, supportive and effective experience regardless of your fitness level.
After completing the program, it’s important to continue building on your progress. You may choose to continue with our member exercise sessions, join other Healthy Connections programs, or follow a personalised home exercise plan. We also recommend a follow-up assessment with one of our Exercise Physiologists to review your progress and plan your next steps.
