Carers Support Group

If you're a carer looking for connection, support and a chance to recharge, come join the Burnie Brae Carers Support Group in Chermside!

Each month, carers come together for a relaxed, friendly catch-up at our Carers Support Group - a safe space to share stories, swap advice, and enjoy a cuppa with others who just get it.

Over time, the group has grown into a little community, complete with guest speakers, outings and plenty of fun. In December, they are heading out together to the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Party.

Whether you're caring for a parent, partner, child or friend, you're welcome here.
It’s free to join!

“The people are very nice to me, they listen to me. It’s good for me because I get to share how I’m feeling. Being a carer can be difficult at times - a bit of a roller coaster; the carers group gives me somewhere I can go and share my thoughts with likeminded people.” – Jan, Carer for her husband, Roy

For carers like Jan, our Carers Support Group isn’t just a meeting - it’s a lifeline. A place to connect, share and take a moment to look after yourself, too.
