Carers Support Group
The group is designed specifically for carers to talk, connect and share with others in a similar role.
Each month, carers come together for a relaxed, friendly catch-up at our Carers Support Group - a safe space to share stories, swap advice, and enjoy a cuppa with others who just get it.
Over time, the group has grown into a little community, complete with guest speakers, outings, sharing stories and supporting one another on our caring journey.
“The people are very nice to me, they listen to me. It’s good for me because I get to share how I’m feeling. Being a carer can be difficult at times - a bit of a roller coaster; the carers group gives me somewhere I can go and share my thoughts with likeminded people.” – Jan, Carer for her husband, Roy
For carers like Jan, our Carers Support Group isn’t just a meeting - it’s a lifeline. A place to connect, share and take a moment to look after yourself, too.
Coming Up
At our next few catch-ups, we’ll explore Authentic Relating - a chance to look at how we connect with ourselves and others. We’ll use the idea of “welcoming everything” to notice our thoughts, feelings and experiences without needing to judge, change or fix them. It’s an opportunity to reflect on what we bring to our relationships, how we respond to ourselves and others, and how a little more self-awareness can help us build more genuine connections.
