Meet the gentle camel herd, enjoy a guided Tour, Taste and Camel Encounter, and learn about Australia's unique camel industry while discovering how camel milk travels from paddock to plate.

Along the way, sample a delicious selection of camel milk products before sitting down to a hearty slow-cooked camel pie with chips and salad, followed by refreshing camel milk gelato for dessert. Please note: This day trip has an intermediate fitness level and includes a one-hour walking tour over potentially uneven ground. Mobility aids cannot be accommodated.

Important Information

The bus departs and returns to Kedron Wavell Services Club (21 Kittyhawk Dr, Chermside). The club is located close to Burnie Brae Centre and provides free parking. Please park at the back of the KWSC carpark and wait for the bus there (view map).

Check when booking whether a meal is included in the ticket price and if so, please advise of any dietary requirements. A day prior to departure, you will receive a reminder text message.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time and note that day tour return times are approximate only. Your contact details will be kept with the bus driver in case of an emergency.

Tickets are refundable if the event is cancelled. The trip is subject to reaching minimum ticket sale requirements and health directives.

Supported Outings

Participants must be independently mobile for this day trip, as support staff will not be present and we cannot accommodate mobility aids. Supported outings are available through Burnie Brae Club Respite.
