Ready for a refreshing day out surrounded by nature? Enjoy a guided “Into the Wild” experience at the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre.

Led by knowledgeable staff, this interactive program brings Australia’s native wildlife to life as you discover the animals, plants and ecosystems that make this bushland setting so unique.

It’s a relaxed, social outing with plenty of time to explore at your own pace - whether you’re interested in wildlife, keen to learn something new, or simply enjoy being out in nature with good company.

Cost: Members $49.00 per person, including guided tour, transport (depart/return to Kedron Wavell Services Club) and morning tea.

Note: Make sure to wear comfy shoes. Intermediate fitness level is required, there may be some uneven ground. You must be independently mobile - we cannot accommodate mobility aids.

Important Information

The bus departs and returns to Kedron Wavell Services Club (21 Kittyhawk Dr, Chermside). The club is located close to Burnie Brae Centre and provides free parking. Please park at the back of the KWSC carpark and wait for the bus there (view map).

Check when booking whether a meal is included in the ticket price and if so, please advise of any dietary requirements. A day prior to departure, you will receive a reminder text message.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time and note that day tour return times are approximate only. Your contact details will be kept with the bus driver in case of an emergency.

Tickets are refundable if the event is cancelled. The trip is subject to reaching minimum ticket sale requirements and health directives.

Supported Outings

Participants must be independently mobile for this day trip, as support staff will not be present and we cannot accommodate mobility aids. Supported outings are available through Burnie Brae Club Respite.
